ABCs of Art
Trash Art
Art should be Playful.
At Blossom we believe creativity needs inquiry and vice-versa. We want to inspire kids + their grown-ups to explore the depths of their imagination and take a stroll around. What can you do with cardboard scraps? Blocks? Magnets? Children are natural inquirers and do-ers. We can learn a lot from them. At Blossom, we take a child-led, choice-based approach to creativity over adult-directed art projects.
Art should be Explored.
We want to be a space where bright lights grow, and fostering that is as simple as just letting play happen and taking a step back. Come to play creatively through art, sensory, and tinkering play throughout the week at Blossom. We have workshops and camps- but also plenty of time to just drop in.

Summer Camp is
Trash Art
What started as a way to avoid throwing out barely used paper at art times has become room-filling, immersive art experiences made out of discarded materials. Trash Art is our term for taking items that would have been thrown away and giving them new life.
Our first Pop-up ended on Christmas Eve, and until the next, we have plenty of opportunities for kids + their grown-ups to learn about processing and repurposing discarded materials. Not only does this help our planet, but it also instills a unique and meaningful creative problem-solving thought process that children just won’t experience from the typical adult-directed art classes.
Missed our Pop-up?
Don’t worry- another is coming! Until then, sign up for a trash art workshop or camp. We also offer weekly process art play invitations that typically utilize discarded materials in our weekday Play Program and Saturday Open Play.
