Polar Express Pop-Up

You've never experienced something like this before. Walk into a magical art immersion, where you get to be the artist! Our first in a series of pop-ups is Polar Express themed. This Pop-Up is at the Amy Yang Photography Studio off the downtown mall, and open to all ages.

Sign up:

$15/child (+$10/sibling)

$25/family pass

Blossom members and 10x pass holders can use these to sign up. Reach out for help reserving your spot!

The way our scheduling system allows us to manage capacity is by limiting the number of sign-ups per time block. The time slots you see are just to manage flow and capacity. These are not strict time limits, but do help us ensure there is not overcrowding. Please know it is okay to be late or early for your scheduled time. If too many people are attending out of the time slot they chose at sign up, we may have to be more strict to ensure everyone has ample time and space. If it’s not crowded, you may stay for longer than your time slot. Lunch time on Wednesdays and school pick up times are likely less crowded if you are looking to come with less people.

More info:

Location: 609 E Market Street #210, Charlottesville, Va 22903

Parking: There is parking almost directly across the street at the Market Street Parking Garage. The first hour is free. The Amy Yang Studio entrance faces 7th Street NE. Google shows its on a different side of the building than it is. There is an open lot across the street that is available and free on weekends. There may be off street parking available as well.

Age Range: All ages are welcome. This is likely most fun for ages 2-10, plus grown-ups who still have their sense of wonder.

No food!

Help keep us invited to use people’s spaces for pop-ups! Be respectful while you are visiting. While we keep things open-ended and fun, children may not damage our installation and materials, and/or Amy Yang’s space and equipment. We are grateful to be here and need to ensure we are taking care of the spaces we are using.

Adults are responsible for and liable for the children they bring to Blossom and our Pop-Ups. All children must be supervised by the adult who brought them for their entire visit.

Play Program

Our Play Program offers Reggio-inspired sensory, art, and tinkering play invitations, based on a weekly book theme. You can learn more about this program here.

This program is open Monday - Thursday, 9 am - 4 pm. You can visit with a monthly pass, 10x pass, or drop-in pass.

Join us Friday mornings from 8:30 am - 11:30 am for a special Toddler Time version of our Play Program. This is for children ages 1-3 who are still mouthing and need sensory bin materials to be taste-safe and associated tools and toys to be choking hazard free. Toddlers may join the regular program if they are past the mouthing stage. Our offerings are developmental-based, not age-based. We trust parents to know what classes or programs are best suited for their child. As such, we do not post strict age limits, but suggestions. You may reach out to see what works best for your child if you are unsure, here.

As always, adults are fully responsible for the children they bring to Blossom. Blossom Play Space is not liable for any injury or illness that may occur.

More info:

Location: 609 E Market Street #110, Charlottesville, Va 22903

Parking: There is parking almost directly across the street at the Market Street Parking Garage. The first hour is free. The Amy Yang Studio entrance faces 7th Street NE.
